White Sheet Session

If you're anything like me, you've spent hours scrolling Pinterest while procrastinating doing the laundry. I love looking at out of the box photo session ideas and putting a spin on them and making them my own. I had been eyeballing the white sheet session idea for awhile. My co-worker and fellow photographer, Brigitte, was looking to update her family photos with her two girls. It was perfect!

I picked this gorgeus setting for the photos with the trees and the prairie in the backgrouns. Ratjer than using a plain white sheet, I had some white lace panels I used. I wanted to try and cover up the backdrop stand. A lot of the Pinterest inspiration photos utilized a close line tied between trees, but since I was on public property, I didn't feel comfortable with using the trees. I decorate the set with a mixture of metals, wood, fur, and lots of florals. I love the look that the wooden ladder with the paint splatter provides. The Iowa sunset was also sunsetting hard for us.

It was so fun watching these sisters interact with one another. You could definitely tell by their personalities who was the big sister and who was the troublemaker.

I mean, honestly, just take a look for yourself. That little turkey with her tongue sticking out!

I love that I was able to capture different shots of Brigitte with her girls. The traditional looking at the camera and smiling, but also just the joys of motherhood (and sometimes the stress). The cuddles and the ugga mugga loves make the best photos. I was also able to capture a few shots with Brigitte and her camera. If you need a photographer in the Adel area, look her up!

Lastly, we grabbed a few shots in the prairie among the tall grasses and flowers. I always love the opportunity to catch up with Brigitte and meeting her minis was great!

Which set do you prefer? The white sheet with the props or the simplicity of the prairie? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
