What Makes YOU So Special?

Whoa, that question is coming across kind of strong? Let's go ahead and dive in on that one. What makes me so special...?

My kneejerk reaction is to respond with "Nothing. I am completely average." but also say, "Everything. I am Starshine and Moonbeams."

But I think the question is, "What makes you stand out as a photographer?" And I guess, I'm not above embarrassing myself to get a child to laugh. I'm adventurous. I probably love your dog. I'm really good at remembering names. I try to be inclusive and be a safe person for all my clients. I'm constantly checking myself and trying to learn more. I want to get things right. I'm honest. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I understand almost no pop culture references yet I'm somehow still decent at Jeopardy trivia. I'm authentic and quirky. But I'm also an acquired taste. I fully understand that my brand of uniqueness is not for everyone. No hard feelings if I'm not your cup of tea. Chances are I already got that vibe too.

This post from Aurora sums up what makes me so special and why people choose to come back to me. "Calli has become a part of my little family. I get to know people. Not just their names, but the quirks and nuances about them. What makes them special. I listen. I preserve those memories. And I truly love what I do.
