Welcome New Baby

Right before the Christmas holiday, my second son and I visited our local camera store, Christian Photo. I was having issues with my Godox speedlight connecting to my Sony A7iii. After trouble shooting for several minutes, it was determined that the pins on my camera's hotshoe were bent, and thus not allowing the speedlight to connect. But the good news was that my old speedlight had a single pin vs three and would still work.

Long story made short: I left with a new camera. I am the proud new owner of a Sony AIV. Will my Godox speedlight work with my new camera? No. Will my old speedlight work with my new camera? Yes. But it also worked with my old one too. Was it really necessary that I buy a new camera? No, not really. But my business is really taking off, so it's pretty important that I have a backup camera to use in case of an accident.

I am sort of extra, so I wanted to take newborn photos of my new camera to welcome her into the family. I stayed with Sony so all of my current lenses and SD cards are still compatible.

I had to change the set up to make it seem a bit more Christmas-y.

I'm absolutely in love with my new camera and all the adventures we will go on, but don't worry, I still love my Sony a7iii. I just never knew how much my heart could grow by adding to our family. This was such a fun session; I'm thinking of what 'newborn sessions' I can do with my boys' Christmas presents next.
