Valentine's Day Mini Session

I know I'm two weeks late, but Happy Valentine's Day! Someday I will actually get the blog post written before the holiday. Maybe next year! At Calli Tuggle Photography, we celebrated Valentine's Day with a simple set up, equipped with a little red wagon and some vintage Valentine's Day decor and rose petals.

My best boy, Gordon Bombarky, had to help with the set-up. Gordy does not enjoy getting his photo taken, but he does enjoy the treats that come with sitting pretty and looking at the camera.

I had so much fun with this set-up, and I loved that one family even brought their newest furry family member to the session. Teddy is a Shitsu poodle mix and him and I became fast best friends. Teddy preferred to be curled up in my lap than posing for the camera. I enjoyed his cuddles and his soft coat though. My own puppy has very thick and coarse hair, so I loved Teddy's silky coat. I also enjoyed his human siblings. Q and C were an absolute delight and I learned all about Teddy from their perspective.

I also had the pleasure of photographing this little Peanut's first Valentine's Day. She had quite the facial expressions, ranging from absolute dismay towards me to big grins and giggles. I love that her parents even jumped into a few shots sans kiddo. I enjoyed hearing their love story--can you believe these love birds have been together for eight years!?

I love this family so much and I'm so glad they came in for the Valentine's Day mini session. Big sis has a special place in my heart, since she is an aspiring photographer herself. I love the bond between these siblings. Sis loves her baby brother and is often the one that can make him smile the biggest for photos. I loved her willingness to jump into the photos help throw the rose petals, and just be a kind and loving big sister. Despite the age gap with these siblings, they are truly bonded. I loved this Valentine's Day mini session set up and I am looking forward to using the red wagon for more sessions as it warms up.
