Spring Mini Sessions

Wow, I cannot believe it's already spring. After having some faux spring days followed by immediate snowstorms and wind, I am ready for warmer weather and more sunshine! And let's not forget, outside photo sessions! People have asked and I have listened, so I am offering spring mini sessions. Due to Iowa's unpredictable spring weather, I have opted to host these spring mini sessions indoors in my in-home studio in Norwalk.

Des Moines Family Photographer - Adult woman sitting on tan rattan chair wearing a gold lace dress. Hanging flowers in white, yellow, and pink behind her looking at his children out of the frame.

These spring mini sessions are just in time for Mother's Day. And trust me when I say, as a mom of four wild things, I am never in enough photos with my boys. These sessions will take place on April 15th. These are limited to four individuals. The sessions are 20 minutes in length and you'll be able to select 5 images for digital download. Half of the balance is due at booking along with the contracts.

I'm really excited about the set-up for the spring mini sessions. I created a somewhat soft boho floral vibe by using yellow, pink, and white florals hanging from the ceiling as well as hardwood, white backdrop, and rattan furniture.

Des Moines couples photographer - Man with medium length strawberry blonde hair and beard is sitting on a rattan chair with an adult woman sitting in his lap. She has long dark hair pulled back in a ponytail and is wearing a tan with white polkdot jumpsuit. The couple is in a studio with a white backdrop, hardwood floor, and florals hanging from the ceiling. The couple is looking at one another and smiling.

These photos can easily be dressed up, like with Garima and her two boys, or dressed more casual like Joshua and Mariah. Mariah is wearing a romper from Old Navy and is barefoot, while Joshua is mixing two different denims paired with new white kicks.

What about families? Can the fathers jump into a few photos?! Absolutely! Just remember though, there's a four person max for the session. The shooting space is just too small to accommodate more than four individuals, and with the fast-pace of mini sessions, I cannot commit to large groups at this time.
