March 5, 2022 Storm - Norwalk, Iowa
Around 5:30 PM on March 5, 2022 three supercell storms ripped through Iowa, creating three tornadoes. The storm began in Southwest Iowa and worked it's way northeast. The largest supercell created gusts of up to 170 miles her hour and the moved across Madison, Polk, and Jasper counties, for about 70 miles. The National Weather Service classified this storm as a F4 tornado, which is Iowa's first since 2013.
