Jon + Kalynn
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Photographing Jon and Kalynn's engagement session was so much fun. Kalynn is my younger cousin, and it was nice catching up with her and getting to know her future husband. I always enjoy asking couples how they met, and Kalynn responded with, "How does anyone meet these days?" Online Dating. The couple met three years ago, and Jon popped the question this spring.
We opted for a sunset engagement session and started at the Rose Gardens. The roses were in full bloom and the location is just dreamy.
The couple was telling me about the home they recently purchased and their plans for their garden and animals. With two cats in the home already, they are looking forward to adding chickens.
Kalynn and Jon talked about how they enjoy going on adventures together and foraging for morel mushrooms as well as in-season berries along hiking and bike trails. Kalynn even gave me some tips for mushroom hunting, and we chatted about some of our favorite trails in the area.
I loved seeing Kalynn so happy and being so comfortable with Jon. I'm excited to hear about their married adventures together. Congratulations!
