Glitter Session: Mom+ Mini

A few weeks ago I hosted glitter mini sessions in my in-home studio. P's mom was the first to book the session. A few days before the big day, Mom asked if she could jump into a few shots to get a few pics with her mini. Ummm, yes!

Not only is P the absolute cutest (those freckles!!!) but she has the sweetest personality too. Her mama is also beautiful inside and outside. I absolutely loved having this mother/daughter duo in my studio.

My ten-year-old captured some behind the scenes footage of P while I was shooting that made for a fun reel on Instagram. I love how kids' personalities really comes through and they can be themselves around me. I captured some authentic smiles. And that mother/daughter energy between P and her mom is undeniably strong.

Without getting too mushy, it's so important as mothers, we do jump in the photos with our kiddos. We're so frequently the one holding the camera, but we need to be in the photos too. These photos are something P and her mom are going to treasure for a very long time.

Thanks so much for choosing me to photograph you two! Next time we'll need to coax big brothers and Dad to jump into some photos. Maybe without glitter though.
